Aktia Bank has today approved the financial statements for 2012 and decided on
the dividend 

Aktia Bank plc has today, following a decision of its shareholders, approved
the financial statement for the period 1 January-31 December 2012 and decided
to distribute a dividend of EUR 9.0 million per share, totalling EUR 27
million. 

Aktia Bank plc is a subsidiary totally owned by Aktia plc. A merger of Aktia
plc with Aktia Bank plc is pending and the effective date of the merger is 1
July 2013. Aktia Bank plc has applied for listing on the NASDAQ OMX Helsinki
Stock Exchange after the merger. 

Aktia plc's proposed dividend and proposed return of capital remain unchanged.
