Utenos Trikotazas AB - Notification on material event

Sales for the I quarter of 2011 increased by 4 %

              AB „Utenos trikotažas" sales for the I quarter of 2011 reached
LTL 15 million (EUR 4.3 million), 4.3 % more than during the same period in
2010. 

               Consolidated Group sales for the I quarter of 2011 reached LTL
17.8 million (EUR 5.1 million), 4.1 % more than during the same period in 2010. 

              “Revenue growth is a result of the focus on the clients demanding
higher value added, ecological, high quality products. Increasing revenues from
higher value added products offset for decline continuing decline of basic,
lower value added product sales. 

               As a result clients such as Triumph (Germany), Polarn o Pyret
(Sweden), Palmers (Austria) demanding high quality and value added products
have increased their weight in our export sales to a significant proportion
although cooperation has begun just in the past few years. Another important
and favourable trend is the consistently growing demand for ecological
products, sales of which have increased by almost 50 % in this quarter. 

               Revenues from Lithuanian market have recorded strong growth by
approximately 25% as the result of intensified marketing efforts of our branded
Rokas, Gunda or Eko product lines which we distribute through the network of
our partners in Lithuania and Maxima stores. New collections of these product
lines will be available in shops soon. Growing number of retailers expressed
their interest to trade our new collections and as such consumers will be able
to purchase our goods in greater number of outlets across Lithuania” - says the
