NOTIFICATION OF A CHANGE IN OWNERSHIP INTEREST UNDER CHAPTER 2, SECTION 10
OF THE FINNISH SECURITIES MARKET ACT

Stockmann has today been notified that Kari Niemistö and Oy Selective
Investor Ab, a company controlled by him, that aggregate ownership of
voting rights in Stockmann Plc has decreased below 10 per cent in
connection with the increase in share capital on August 18, 2009.
