RAISIO TO OUTSOURCE ITS LABORATORY OPERATIONS                                   

On 3 July 2008, Raisio and Eurofins Scientific Finland Oy have signed business  
transfer related agreements by which Raisio outsources its laboratory operations
to Eurofins. The 45 employees of Raisio's laboratory services will transfer to  
the employment of Eurofins on 1 September 2008 when the company takes over the  
laboratory business and assumes responsibility for the laboratory services      
needed by Raisio.                                                               

The adjustment of laboratory operations to Raisio's current needs and the market
situation will make the company's operations more efficient, lead to significant
cost savings in the coming years and enable Raisio to focus on its core         
competence. Outsourcing laboratory analytics to an important international      
player will ensure that Raisio gets services that meet its needs in the future, 
as the field continues to grow more technical and the level of demands rises.   

Raisio opted for outsourcing in order to ensure the availability and development
of versatile laboratory activities. Eurofins will acquire the microbiology, fat,
ingredients, research and grain laboratories, as well as sensory analysis       
operations. The company will rent its laboratory facilities from Raisio, which  
means that the operations will continue to be run at Raisio's site.             

Eurofins Scientific Finland Oy's objective is to become Finland's leading       
provider of bioanalytics services. The headquarters of the company's Finnish    
operations are located in Tampere. Eurofins will set up a centre of excellence  
specialising in food analytics to ensure that Raisio's solid and unique         
competence is maintained and further developed. The versatile services produced 
at the Raisio laboratories will also be offered to other companies and players  
in the region. Eurofins Scientific Finland Oy is part of the international      
Eurofins Scientific Group, founded in 1997. The company has laboratories in 29  
countries and it employs 7,000 people. Eurofins is a well-known and growing     
expert in food, environmental, medical and biotechnology analytics.
