Taxation rectification committee accepts Sponda Plc's request for rectification 

Sponda reported in its interim report on 1 November 2007 the decision of the tax
office to deviate from the company's 2006 tax returns concerning the tax losses 
carried forward.                                                                

The taxation rectification committee has revised the decision of the tax office 
concerning the tax deductible nature of the confirmed losses of Sponda          
Kiinteistöt Oy (formerly Kapiteeli Oy).                                         

Should the decision of the taxation rectification committee enter into legal    
force, the company will be able to utilize a tax loss carry forward of          
approximately EUR 558 million for the years 1996 - 1999. The decision has no    
impact on Sponda's 2007 result.
