TALENTUM INITIATES NEGOTIATIONS TO REDUCE PERSONNEL

Talentum is initiating negotiations with employee representatives in accordance
with local laws and regulations. The negotiations concern employees of Talentum
Oyj and Talentum Media Oy in Finland, and Talentum magazine publishing in
Sweden, approximately 330 employees. 

The objective of the negotiations is an annual cost reduction of approximately
EUR 4.5 million. Talentum will implement the cost-cuts by reducing the number
of employees and by other measures. Further details will be defined during the
negotiations. 

Talentum expects the cost-cuts to be realised in full during 2012. The total
amount of savings, the period of materialisation and the amount of nonrecurring
items will become evident during the negotiations, and will be disclosed in due
course. 

These negotiations do not concern the business operations of Talentum Oyj's
subsidiaries Suoramarkkinointi Mega and Talentum Events. 

The purpose of these actions is to ensure Talentum's competitive strength and
adequate profitability.
