- Garðar Þorsteinn Guðgeirsson hired as a VP of Investment and Business Development

Mr. Garðar Þorsteinn Guðgeirsson has been hired as a VP of Investment and       
Business Development at Tryggingamiðstöðin. Garðar will take on the             
responsibility to develop a new division of investment and business development 
as well as leading the strategy setting for TM's subsidiaries and integration of
their operation with the mother organization.                                   

Garðar has been working at McKinsey & Company in Copenhagen as a consultant     
since the beginning of 2007.  Prior to that he was employed at Raqoon Software  
as well as being one of the founders of the Icelandic portal Baggalutur.  Garðar
graduated with BSc in Electric and Computer Engineering from University of      
Iceland in 1999 and with a MSc in Software Engineering from the University of   
York in 2001.  Garðar received his MBA dgree from IMD in 2006.
