FINNISH TAX ADMINISTRATION CHOOSES DIGIA FINLAND LTD AS SOFTWARE SUPPLIER OF NATIONAL INCOME REGISTER

Helsinki, 2016-10-14 15:10 CEST (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- DIGIA PLC STOCK EXCHANGE
RELEASE 14TH OCTOBER 2016 AT 4:10 PM

FINNISH TAX ADMINISTRATION CHOOSES DIGIA FINLAND LTD AS SOFTWARE SUPPLIER OF
NATIONAL INCOME REGISTER

The Finnish Tax Administration has chosen Digia Finland Ltd to supply the
solution package to them.

The plan is to launch the service package in early 2019. In the first phase,
information on wages and salaries and any related payments will be included in
the register. In the second phase, in 2020, the register will be added with
pensions and benefits.

The solution will be delivered as a fixed-price project worth EUR 13.7 million.
The project will be started in late 2016 but it will not have any significant
effect on Digia’s 2016 net sales or result. Digia’s performance management will
remain unchanged for 2016. The package also includes the system's maintenance
and further development. The overall cost for a 15-year contract period is
about EUR 90 million, of which Digia accounts for approximately EUR 60 million.

The objective is to replace monthly notifications by employers and payers of
benefits, and also any annual notifications and various pay slips. In future,
such information would be sent to the centralised income register only once
when wages and salaries are paid. The national income register will automate
procedures by authorities, make it simpler for citizens to interact with the
national income register’s stakeholder authorities, and reduce companies’
administrative duties.

”This is a very important project for Digia. It is great that such a large,
national project will be implemented by a Finnish company,” says President &
CEO Timo Levoranta.

”The selection emphasised the supplier’s commitment and ability to deliver the
services in the long term. The supplier is also required to have extensive
expertise in the technical implementation, process development, stakeholder
cooperation and change management,” reads the Tax Administration press release.
