HONKARAKENNE STRENGTHENS ITS BUSINESS FOCUS BY APPOINTING A NEW MANAGEMENT TEAM

Honkarakenne tightens its operating model by focusing in the future more on
selected key market areas and customer segments. By the management team
appointments that have been made the company wants to ensure the implementation
of the change and its effect on business growth. The business model change is
effective immediately. 

The new management team consists of the following persons:

  -- Mikko Kilpeläinen, President and CEO
  -- Mikko Jaskari, Chief Financial Officer
  -- Sami Leinonen, Business Area Finland & Baltics
  -- NN, Business Area Russia & CIS
  -- Pekka Elo, Business Area Global Markets
  -- Sanna Wester, Marketing, Planning and R&D
  -- Reijo Virtanen, Operations

The revised model is strongly focused on three business areas, which are
responsible for their sales, customer relations and business development.
Marketing, planning and development functions are combined in order to make
processes more efficient and to strengthen customer focus. The Company believes
these measures to support the growth and long-term profitability.

supporting growth on these selected areas. This calls for the renewal of the
operating model as well as in our way of thinking."

Sami Leinonen and Pekka Elo to start at Honkarakenne

M.Sc.(Tech.)Sami Leinonen, 40, has been appointed as Sales Director responsible
for Business Area Finland & Baltics. Sami Leinonen currently works as
Operations Director in Karelia-Upofloor. His starting date will be specified
later. 

M.A. Pekka Elo, 39, has been appointed as Sales Director responsible for
Business Area Global Markets. Pekka Elo is currently Sales Director at
Karelia-Upofloor. His starting date will be specified later. 

Sales Director for Business Area Russia & CIS will be appointed later.

Mikko Kilpeläinen will in addition to his regular work be responsible for the
business areas until the appointments will be effective.
