Sirpa-Helena Sormunen, LL.M. (Helsinki University), 54, has been appointed
General Counsel and member of Fortum Corporation's Executive Management as of 1
September 2014. She will report to Tapio Kuula, President and CEO of Fortum
Corporation. 

For the last two years Sirpa-Helena Sormunen has been working as General
Counsel for Patria, a provider of defence, security and aviation life-cycle
support services and technology solutions. Prior to that, she has held several
managerial and legal positions at Nokia and NSN with the responsibility of
global legal teams. In addition, she has several years' experience in M&A as
well as in governance and compliance issues. "We warmly welcome Sirpa-Helena Sormunen to join our Executive Management and
to lead Fortum's Group-wide legal function as well as to bring her experience
from various business environments to the implementation of Fortum's strategy",
