Regarding key court ruling in LitPol Link project

Vilnius, Lithuania, 2013-05-30 15:57 CEST (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On May 29, 2013,
the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania passed a final decision in the
administrative case concerning the legitimacy of the environmental impact
assessment (EIA) of LitPol Link's 400 kV power line. There is no appeal against
the decision. 

The court ruled that a claim filed by the Rudaminos Bendruomenė association
concerning the EIA was unfounded. The court stated that the EIA was legitimate
and that the impact of the future power link on the environment and society has
been properly and comprehensively assessed. The court said that  environment
impact assessment procedures have not been violated.
