RUUKKI GROUP SHARE SUBSCRIPTIONS UNDER OPTIONS

Ruukki Group Plc, Stock Exchange Release, 1 July 2010 at xx:xx p.m.             

RUUKKI GROUP SHARE SUBSCRIPTIONS UNDER OPTIONS                                  
A total of 225,000 shares have been subscribed under Ruukki Group Plc's Option  
Program. The share subscriptions were based on the A series option certificates 
of the Option Program I/2005. According to the terms of the Option Program, the 
subscription period ended on 30 June 2010 and the subscription price was EUR    
0.32 per share. The subscription price shall be entered in whole in the         
company's invested unrestricted equity fund.                                    

The shares are estimated to be registered to the Trade Register on 19 July      
whereafter they will be admitted to public trading. After the registration, the 
company will have in total 248,207,000 shares and the share capital will be EUR 
23,642,049.60.                                                                  

The Ruukki Group Plc Option Program I/2005 is based on the resolutions of the   
Extraordinary General Meeting held on 8 December 2005. The terms of the Option  
Program were last updated at a General Meeting on 7 May 2009. The terms of the  
Option Program have been published in a previous stock exchange release.
