RAUTARUUKKI TO MAKE TOTAL DELIVERY WORTH EUR 10 MILLION TO YIT IN RUSSIA 

Rautaruukki has signed an agreement to deliver steel structures for
construction company YIT's new logistics and industrial park project in St
Petersburg. Ruukki will supply and install the steel frame structure, roof
system, façades and interior walls for two of the buildings in the logistics
centre. 

The buildings cover a total area of around 73 000 m2 and the façades some 35
000 m2. Deliveries began in September this year and will continue until
February 2008. The order is valued at around EUR 10 million. 

”This agreement not only marks the start of significant local cooperation
between YIT and Ruukki's operations in Russia, but also strengthens Ruukki's
position as a leading provider of metal-based construction solutions in
Russia,” says Ari Vouti, SVP, Eastern Europe, Ruukki Construction. 

”Ruukki's total delivery package, which includes the steel structure, façades
and installation, improves the manageability of extensive projects like this.
We have every confidence in Ruukki's capacity and resources to successfully
make such an important delivery,” says YIT Lentek's Director for Estate
Property Development, Peter Forsell. 

In addition, Ruukki has signed a letter of option with YIT for a similar
delivery for a further eight buildings to be constructed on the site. These
eight buildings will cover an area of around 200 000 m2. 

YIT's logistics centre is in the Gorelovo district of St Petersburg, near
Pulkovo Airport.
