Stockmann Group's revenue in March 2013

The Stockmann Group's revenue amounted to EUR 148.1 million in March 2013.
Revenue, excluding the terminated franchising operations in Russia and Finland,
was down 7.1 per cent. The retail market continued to be very weak in
particular in Finland. March had two sales days less than in 2012 in many
countries due to early occasion of Easter. Also weather in the main markets,
including Russia, has been exceptionally cold and postponed the sales of spring
merchandise. 

The Department Store Division's revenue, excluding the terminated franchising
operations, was down 3.6 per cent: down 5.3 per cent in Finland and up 0.2 per
cent in international operations. The St Petersburg department store continued
strong growth during the month. 

The Fashion Chain Division's revenue was down 11.8 per cent; down 26.1 per cent
in Finland and down 8.3 per cent in international operations. Lindex's
euro-denominated revenue was down 8.0 per cent. Revenue in local currencies was
down 9.6 per cent. Revenue growth in Russia and Eastern European markets could
not compensate the decline in the Nordic countries. In 2012 Lindex's successful
spring campaign clearly increased revenue in March, whereas in 2013 the
campaign will take place in April. Seppälä's revenue was down 30.5 per cent
which was somewhat affected by the closure of 12 stores during the past 12
months. Weak performance continued in all countries.
