YIT - Major shareholder announcements

NOTIFICATION OF CHANGE IN HOLDINGS UNDER CHAPTER 2, SECTION 9 OF THE FINNISH SECURITIES MARKET ACT

YIT Corporation has received a notification regarding a change in holdings, as  
set forth in the Finnish Securities Market Act, sent by Schroder Investment     
Management Compliance Limited on May 1, 2007. Schroder Investment Management    
Compliance Limited announced that its holding has risen to 5.36 per cent of     
YIT's shares.                                                                   
YIT's share capital - registered on April 30, 2007 - is EUR 146,688,843.82 and  
the number of shares outstanding is 126,852,260. YIT Corporation has one series 
of shares. Each share carries one vote and confers an equal right to a dividend.
