AB Linas Agro Group sells shares of UAB Kustodija

AB Linas Agro Group sells 50% of shares of UAB Kustodija, a company selling
plant protection products, to UAB Danrava. The parties agree not to announce
the transaction value. The shares shall be transferred on 1 August 2011,
provided the transaction is approved by the Competition Council of the Republic
of Lithuania by authorising the merger. 

Panevezys, Lithuania, 2011-06-02 08:00 CEST (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- 50% of shares
of UAB Kustodija, a company incorporated in 1996, were acquired by AB Linas
Agro Group in 2002. 

“Jointly with our partners at UAB Kustodija we have been supplying plant
protection products to farmers for almost 10 years. However, the growth in the
number of customers and sale volumes, and the strengthening of the capacity of
our team of sales agents and consultants led to a decision of AB Linas Agro,
the company of the Group, to pursue this activity independently. Presently, the
company supplies plant protection products to more than 1,700 farmers engaged
in plant growing programmes. Activities of AB Linas Agro started to repeat
those of UAB Kustodija; therefore, a joint agreement was reached with the
management of UAB Kustodija to sell the shares of the company to the
shareholder related to the management of UAB Kustodija. We hope this decision
allows AB Linas Agro to more efficiently pursue our agricultural programmes and
strengthens the position of the company, while a healthy market competition
will improve services provided to farmers,” commented Deputy Managing Director

companies of NASDAQ OMX Vilnius stock exchange.
