UNAUDITED RESULTS AND UNAUDITED FINANCIAL STATEMENTS OF SC KLAIPĖDOS NAFTA ACTIVITIES DURING THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2009

UNAUDITED RESULTS OF SC KLAIPĖDOS NAFTA ACTIVITIES DURING THE FIRST QUARTER OF
2009: 
-	income from sales LTL 29,2 million (EUR 8.5 mln.), as compared to the first
quarter of 2008 - LTL 32,7 million (EUR 9.5 mln.); 
-	pre-tax profit - LTL 9,6 million (EUR 2.8 mln.), as compared to the first
quarter of 2008 - LTL10,4 million (EUR 3.0 mln.). 

Transshipment of oil products during the first quarter of 2009 decreased by 11
percent (1,95 million tons of oil products were handled during the said period;
2,2 million tons - during the same period of 2008). 
The decline in the transshipment of oil products was determined by the
decreased fuel oil flow from Byelorussian and Russian oil refineries due to the
home policy carried by the Byelorussian Government. During winter period the
Byelorussian Government trying to accumulate fuel oil reserves for domestic
market imposed limitations on fuel oil export. Lacking fuel, Byelorussia had to
additionally import fuel oil from Russian oil refineries from which our clients
ship fuel oil through Klaipeda Oil Terminal. 
SC Klaipedos Nafta does not make more precise its forecasts announced for the
year 2009.
