STOCKMANN GROUP SALES IN JULY 2008

In July, Stockmann Group's  consolidated sales grew by 43 per cent to EUR
161.9 million. The growth was attributable to including Lindex's sales in
the Stockmann Group's figures and the growth of sales in Hobby Hall and
Seppälä divisions.

The Department Store Division's sales were down 6 per cent. Sales declined
by 4 per cent in Finland and by 10 per cent abroad. Sales decline in
Finland was attributable to smaller amount of sale merchandise compared to
previous year and the boom of digital TV sets and set-top boxes during
summer 2007. The reason for decline of sales abroad is the closure of the
department store in the Smolensky Passage shopping centre in Moscow due to
the illegal actions of the lessor. Sales development of other department
stores in Moscow was strong.

Hobby Hall's sales increased by 7 per cent. Sales grew by 5 per cent in
Finland and by 21 per cent abroad.

Seppälä's sales increased by 6 per cent. Sales in Finland were on the
previous year's level and increased by 21 per cent abroad based on very
strong growth in Russia.

Lindex's sales decreased in its main markets in Sweden, Norway and Finland
but were good in other markets. Sales decline in Sweden, Norway and
Finland was attributable to smaller amount of sale merchandise compared to
previous year.
