Stora Enso Oyj was informed on 26 June 2013 that after a return of shares lent
out by Norges Bank, the number of shares in the Company held by Norges Bank
(The Central Bank of Norway) has exceeded 5% of the paid-up share capital and
the number of shares in Stora Enso Oyj on 25 June 2013. 

With reference to Chapter 9, paragraph 10 of the Finnish Securities Markets
Act, Stora Enso Oyj is reporting that as of 25 June 2013 the shareholding of
Norges Bank is as follows:

The holding of Norges Bank has been calculated according to the share capital
