ANNOUNCEMENT PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 2, SECTION 10 OF THE SECURITIES MARKET ACT

Ruukki Group Plc has today received an announcement pursuant to Securities
Market Act chapter 2, section 9 regarding a change in shareholding. 

According to the announcement of Oy Herttakakkonen Ab (business ID number
0761602-7) its ownership exceeds one fifth (1/5) of the share capital and
voting rights of Ruukki Group Plc in consequence of forward contract
transactions carried out on 11 September 2007. 

Holdings by Oy Herttakakkonen Ab are now as follows:
