Ponsse Plc prepares for continuing to adjust operations                         

In spite of the market picking up, Ponsse Plc is preparing to continue adjusting
its operations to the market situation and has invited its personnel to         
statutory employee co-operation negotiations. The order backlog and order flow  
do not make it possible to use the full capacity as of yet. The negotiations    
will concern the possible adjustment of operations with fixed-term lay-offs     
during the spring and summer of 2010. The negotiations concern all functions and
all personnel groups except for domestic sales and service operations, and      
affect a total of approximately 400 employees.
