ANNOUNCEMENT PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 2, SECTION 10 OF THE SECURITIES MARKET ACT

Ruukki Group Plc, Stock Exchange Release, 7 November 2008 at 10:25 a.m.         

Ruukki Group Plc has today received an announcement pursuant to Securities      
Market Act chapter 2, section 9 regarding a change in shareholding:             

RCS Trading Corporation Ltd (company number 65574B, Nassau, Bahamas) announces  
that its current existing ownership has fallen below 5 % of the share capital   
and voting rights of Ruukki Group Plc based on share transactions carried out on
3 November 2008.                                                                

In addition, RCS Trading Corporation Ltd and Kermas Limited (registration number
504889, Tortola, British Virgin Islands) that belongs to the same group of      
companies announce that at the same time their combined current existing        
ownership has fallen below 10 % of the share capital and voting rights of Ruukki
Group Plc.                                                                      

Kermas Limited and RCS Trading Corporation Ltd now owns Ruukki Group Plc shares 
and forward contracts as follows:
