NORDIC ALUMINIUM PLC'S EMPLOYEE NEGOTIATIONS CONCLUDED

NORDIC ALUMINIUM PLC STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE May 18, 2009 5.45 p.m. 

Due to market uncertainty Nordic Aluminium Plc started employee negotiations in
compliance with the Act on Cooperation on April 6, 2009. These negotiations
have been concluded on May 18, 2009. The negotiations were held to adapt the
Company's operations to the current market situation and to the expected
operational and economical prospects. The negotiations concerned all personnel
groups. 

The conclusion of the negotiation is that 102 employment contracts will be
terminated in Kirkkonummi and Nivala facilities. One third of the terminations
concerns officials. Lay-offs will be carried out immediately.
