SAMPO LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY'S OWNERSHIP OF OKMETIC'S SHARES TO 4.74

Notification of a change in holdings as required by Chapter 2, Section
9 of the Finnish Securities Markets Act:

Okmetic Oyj has received notification that Sampo Life Insurance
Company's (Trade Register number 0641130-2) total ownership of the
Company has lowered to 800,000 shares, which corresponds to 4.74
percent of Okmetic's share capital and voting rights.

The transactions have been made on May 2, 2007.

Okmetic Oyj's share capital as recorded in the Trade Register
comprises a total of 16,887,500 shares. Each share has one vote.
