Atlantic Airways P/F - Company Announcement

Adverse weather caused delays and extra costs

Air traffic to and from the Faroe Islands was severely affected by adverse
weather during July.

The disruption occurred despite investment by Atlantic Airways in a new
navigational aid system and despite the extended runway at Vágar Airport -
although the new navigational system significantly mitigated the impact of the
disruption, which coincided with record July traffic for the airline.

All told, about 120 flights were delayed by more than two hours and 54 of them
either had to divert or were cancelled, mainly because of severe fog.
Conditions in July were unprecedented as fog interrupted traffic continuously
over a period of four weeks.

It is estimated that the extraordinary cost to the airline due to the weather
interruptions will be between 7.5 and 8.5 million Danish kroner (DKK).

Notwithstanding the weather, Atlantic Airways achieved record traffic in July,
transporting more than 32,000 passengers on scheduled services to and from the
Faroe Islands. An increased proportion of the passengers was transported on the
Airbus 319 aircraft, equipped with RNP AR 0.1 navigational aid system, which
diminished the traffic interruption significantly by an estimated 18-20
diversions.

Atlantic Airways will publish its half-year result on 21 August 2013.
