Suomen Terveystalo Oyj - Company Announcement

Suomen Terveystalo´s turnover increased as expected in the first half of the year, operating profit (EBIT) was lower than in the same period last year


Group turnover of Suomen Terveystalo Oyj increased in January-June 2007 by more
than 35 percent to approximately EUR 57 million (EUR 42.2 million in
January-June 2006). According to preliminary accounts, the January - June 2007
Group operating profit (EBIT) fell behind of that of the previous year´s
comparison period and was approximately EUR 2.8 million (EUR 3.8 million in
January-June 2006). 

Group turnover continued its strong growth during April and May in 2007. In
June, the periodical drop in outpatient visits was bigger than expected and
generated lower turnover than expected. Smaller turnover in June combined with
the throughout the whole second quarter continued strong development of Group
clinic network, start-up of the nationwide customer Call Center and the
development of IT systems and Group functions resulted in a lower Group
operating profit in April-June than in the same period last year. 

The whole year Group operating profit in 2007 is still expected to be at least
at the same level as in 2006 as stated in the current year´s first interim
report that was published on May 15, 2007. 
  
Suomen Terveystalo will publish its interim report of the period January 1 -
June 30, 2007 on August 14, 2007.
