Signing of Agreement regarding Issuance of Treasury Securities and Market Making in the Secondary Market

Today the Government Debt Management on behalf of the Treasury and Straumur
Investment Bank signed agreement regarding Issuance and Market Making in
Treasury securities. The agreement is identical with agreements concluded with
other primary dealers on 29th April 2011. 

The agreement is valid from October 18, 2011 to March 31, 2012.

As of October 18, 2011, five financial undertakings have been appointed as
“Primary Dealers in Treasury securities”. They are: Islandsbanki, Landsbankinn,
Arion Bank, MP Bank and Straumur Investment Bank.
