Revenue passenger kilometres grew by 2.4% compared with the previous year. Asian traffic grew by 5%. Business class travel grew by nearly 14%, and by more than 28% in Asian traffic. Business class accounted for around 8% of total passenger numbers, and by more than 13% in Asian traffic. In European scheduled traffic, total growth was around 2%. Domestic traffic declined by 2.4%, but capacity was increased by just over 10%, which weakened the load factor by 7 percentage points to 53%. Domestic traffic accounts for 3% of Finnair's traffic. The scheduled traffic passenger load factor on international flights was nearly 78%, just over 1% below the figure for October last year. On Asian flights, the passenger load factor was 86%. Leisure traffic demand fell by more than 16% and Finnair also reduced its capacity in this traffic segment by 18.5%, which improved the passenger load factor by just over 2 percentage points to 84%. Cargo demand continues to grow, but scheduled traffic's 5% growth is more modest than before owing to strong growth figures in October last year. Due to cargo aircraft traffic, the amount of cargo carried by Finnair was, however, 32% higher than in October last year. Asian traffic accounts for 75% of the cargo kilos carried by Finnair.
