LITGRID AB announces interim activity results for 2012

Vilnius, Lithuania, 2013-02-28 15:53 CET (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Litgrid Group
reported an income of LTL 508.4 million for 2012, an increase of 17% compared
with 2011. The income from electricity transmission contributed 43% of the
group's total income. 

The profit before tax of Litgrid Group reached LTL 31 million in 2012, compared
with a loss of LTL 19.7 million suffered in 2011. Litgrid Group 2012 EBITDA
reached LTL 155.3 million, EBITDA margin was 30.5%. 

In 2012, the electricity transmission system operator Litgrid invested a total
of LTL 140.3 million. The major part of the investment - 69% was earmarked for
the reconstruction and development of the national transmission grid, 31%
investment was allocated for the implementation of strategic projects. 

Litgrid is currently implementing strategic Lithuanian electricity energy
projects, including international electricity interconnections NordBalt
(Lithuania-Sweden) and LitPol Link (Lithuania-Poland), and is responsible for
the fully-fledged integration of the Lithuanian electricity energy system into
the European Continental Network and the common European electricity market. 

Litgrid Group consists of the electricity transmission system operator Litgrid
AB, energy exchange Baltpool UAB and Tetas UAB, which provides specialized
services of technical maintenance.
