KONECRANES PLC STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE January 13, 2011

NEW SHARES IN KONECRANES PLC ENTERED INTO THE TRADE REGISTER

A total of 281,007 new shares subscribed in the share issue of Konecranes Plc
directed to the shareholders of KCR Management Oy following the share swap
announced on December 14, 2010, have been entered into the Trade Register today
on January 13, 2011. The shareholder rights have commenced when the new shares
have been entered into the Trade Register. In the share swap, Konecranes Plc
acquired all the shares in KCR Management Oy from the Group executives. 

After the Trade Register entry of the new shares, the number of the Company's
all shares is 62,283,127 shares. The shares entered into the Trade Register
will be subject to public trading on the NASDAQ OMX Helsinki on January 14,
2011. 

After the share swap, Konecranes Plc is in possession of 2,524,760 own shares
directly and 517,696 own shares indirectly through KCR Management Oy.
