STOCKMANN GROUP SALES IN FEBRUARY 2009

The Stockmann Group's euro-nominated sales in February were EUR 132.9
million, down 18 per cent on the previous year. Reasons for the strong
decline in sales were, besides the downturn in the economy, the extremely
strong sales increase in the month of comparison February 2008, the
devaluation of the Swedish krona, the Norwegian krone and the Russian
rouble and the fact that there was one trading day less in 2009 compared
to the leap year 2008. In February 2008, the Stockmann Group's sales
increased by 58 per cent; e.g. department store sales grew by 42 per cent
in the Baltic countries and by 33 per cent in Russia.

In February 2009, the Department Store Division's sales declined by 20 per
cent, 13 per cent in Finland and 37 per cent abroad. In the department
stores in Russia, like-for-like rouble-nominated sales decreased by 2 per
cent. The euro-nominated aggregate sales declined by 44 per cent. The
closing down of the Smolenskaya department store in May 2008 due to the
illegal action of the lessors still affects comparison. On 13 February, a
new department store was opened in the Metropolis shopping centre in
Moscow. Sales declined considerably in the Baltic department stores,
compared to the high sales figures in 2008.

Lindex's sales declined by 4 per cent in local currencies while the
division's euro-nominated sales decreased by 18 per cent. Sales declined
by 13 per cent in Finland and by 19 per cent abroad.

Seppälä's euro-nominated sales declined by 7 per cent, 5 per cent in
Finland and 12 per cent abroad. In Russia, Seppälä's rouble-nominated
sales increased by 19 per cent.

Sales of Hobby Hall declined by 15 per cent, 10 per cent in Finland and 37
per cent abroad.
