Kotipizza chain reports record sales in April

Total sales of the Kotipizza chain, which is a part of Kotipizza Group Oyj, grew
23.8 percent and same-store sales grew 19.8 percent in April compared to those
in the previous year. Same-store sales are based on sales figures from 236
restaurants.

This year the monthly sales amounted to 7.14 million euros and last year to
5.77 million euros. The April monthly sales were the highest in the history of
the chain. The previous monthly sales record, 7.07 million euros, was reported
in July 2015.

The cumulative chain sales from the beginning of the financial year (1 February
to 30 April) have grown 18.4 percent compared to those in the previous year and
amount to 20.4 million euros.

"The continued strong growth in sales is due to a combination of factors. We
have revamped the Kotipizza brand, menu and restaurant interiors, put more
emphasis on marketing and understanding our customers, and further developed our
online store and digital presence. The main reason for our success are however
our franchisees who put the best customer experience in Finland into practice",
Kotipizza Group CEO Tommi Tervanen says.
