Notice of Results, Presentation and Webcast

Talvivaara Mining Company Plc (“Talvivaara”, “the Company”), the Finnish mining
company with a primary focus on nickel and zinc, will announce its preliminary
results for the 12 months ended 31 December 2008 on Wednesday 4 March 2009. 

A presentation will be held at the Scandic Simonkenttä Hotel in Helsinki,
Finland. The event will also be broadcast live via webcast starting at 15:00
