- Market making agreement with New Landsbanki Islands hf.

Century Aluminum Company Market Making suspended on the First North Market of
NASDAQ OMX Iceland for its Global Depositary Receipts in Iceland. 

The New Landsbanki Islands hf. has taken over the obligations of Landsbanki
Islands hf. according to the market making agreement with Century Aluminum
Company.  Market making, in accordance with the agreement, will start on 20
October 2008.
