HONKARAKENNE HAS BEEN ISSUED A PUBLIC REPRIMAND UNDER SECTION 40 OF THE ACT ON THE FINANCIAL SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY

HONKARAKENNE OYJ STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE 2 SEPTEMBER 2010 at 13:00 hours         

HONKARAKENNE HAS BEEN ISSUED A PUBLIC REPRIMAND UNDER SECTION 40 OF THE ACT ON  
THE FINANCIAL SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY CONCERNING THE ANNUAL REPORTS AND/OR        
FINANCIAL STATEMENTS OF THE YEARS 2003-2008.                                    

The following ruling by the Financial Supervisory Authority has been submitted  
to Honkarakenne for information:                                                

”Under section 40 of the Act on the Financial Supervisory Authority (878/2008), 
the Financial Supervisory Authority has issued a public reprimand to            
Honkarakenne Oyj. Honkarakenne Oyj has failed to comply with paragraphs 4 and 5 
of subsection 1 of section 5 of the Decree of the Ministry of Finance on the    
Regular Duty of Disclosure of an Issuer of a Security (153/2007) and paragraphs 
9 and 10 of subsection 1 of section 5 of the Decree of the Ministry of Finance  
on the Regular Duty of Disclosure of an Issuer of a Security (538/2002),        
repealed by the former Decree, by not disclosing information, as required by the
provisions, in the annual reports and/or financial statements of the years      
2003-2008 on the shareholders' agreement that was signed on 21 April 1990 and   
that was known to the company.                                                  

The Board of the Financial Supervisory Authority has decided to issue a public  
reprimand in its meeting on 26 August 2010.”                                    

Honkarakenne has submitted its reply on the matter to the Financial Supervisory 
Authority. Honkarakenne does not agree with the Financial Supervisory           
Authority's justifications but will not appeal the ruling.
