Cargotec Shares Subscribed with Option Rights

A total number of 19,290 new class B shares have been subscribed with Cargotec  
option rights that were granted as part of the demerged Kone Corporation's year 
2004 option program. The amount of 2005A and 2005B option rights used for share 
subscription was 2,000 and 4,430 respectively. The subscriptions increase       
Cargotec's share capital by EUR 19,290. The share capital increase has been     
entered in the trade register on October 26, 2007 and trading in the shares     
together with the old shares will begin on October 29, 2007.                    
                                                                                
Cargotec's share capital after the increase totals EUR 64,156,428. The amount of
class B shares after the subscription is 54,630,339 shares. The number of class 
A shares remains unchanged at 9,526,089 shares. The new shares will entitle to  
all shareholder rights from the registration date October 26, 2007.             
                                                                                
Each Cargotec option right entitles the holder to subscribe for three Cargotec  
class B shares. The share subscription price according to the terms of the      
option program is EUR 8.59 per share. After this share capital increase, a total
of 252,582 class B shares remain to be subscribed for with 2005A and 2005B      
option rights, which corresponds to a share capital increase of EUR 252,582.    
                                                                                
Trading and share subscription with 2005A option rights ends in March 2008      
                                                                                
Trading with Cargotec 2005A option rights will end on March 20, 2008 and the    
last share subscription date is March 31, 2008. Before the share subscription   
period ends the shares can be subscribed as follows:                            
                                                                                
The share subscriptions made at latest on November 30, 2007 will be handled in  
December and the share capital increase will be registered by December 31, 2007.
These new shares entitle to the possible dividend payment for the financial year
2007. In year 2008 share subscriptions can be made during January 2-March 31.   
Cargotec's Board of Directors does not handle share subscriptions between the   
end of the financial year 2007 and the Annual General Meeting. After the end of 
the share subscription period the unused 2005A option rights shall be null and  
void and automatically removed from the book-entry accounts of option holders.  
                                                                                
The share subscription period with Cargotec 2005B option rights continues until
