2009-03-26 12:00:00 CET 2009-03-26 12:00:06 CET REGULATED INFORMATION Sampo - Company AnnouncementSampo plc establishes 2 billion Euro Medium Term Note ProgrammeSAMPO PLC STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE 26 March 2009 at 1.00 pm SAMPO PLC ESTABLISHES 2 BILLION EURO MEDIUM TERM NOTE PROGRAMME Sampo plc (“Sampo”) has established a debt programme (Euro Medium Term Note Programme) of EUR 2,000,000,000 in order to enable the issue of bonds in the international capital markets. The programme is rated Baa2 (stable outlook) by Moody's. The programme was arranged by Nordea Bank with Danske Bank, Deutsche Bank and Goldman Sachs International as the other dealers. Sampo intends to undertake a senior bond issue in the debt capital markets under the Euro Medium Term Note Programme. Sampo has announced a debt exchange offer in respect of its EUR 600mn 4.625% callable subordinated Notes due 2014 (ISIN: XS0190155480) which will be exchanged for new Euro Denominated Senior Fixed Rate Notes. The minimum new issue spread and maturity will be announced at a later date. Concurrently, Sampo may issue additional notes for cash which will be fungible with the new notes.
