Nurminen Logistics outsources part of its terminal services in Vuosaari to Transval Handling Oy

Nurminen Logistics Services Oy and Transval Handling Oy have today signed an
agreement for the outsourcing of goods handling at Nurminen Logistics' Vuosaari
terminal. The agreement will take effect on 1 May 2013, with 20 employees
currently employed by Nurminen Logistics Services Oy transferring to Transval
Handling Oy on the same date. The change does not involve any reductions in
personnel. The employees will transfer to the new employer as existing
employees. 

- Suomen Transval Oy, which recently won the Internal Logistics Award 2013
awarded by the Finnish Association of Purchasing and Logistics (LOGY), is a
familiar partner for Nurminen Logistics in Vuosaari. The outsourcing
arrangement allows us to improve our service level and serve our customers with
even greater flexibility than before. The change will also improve the
profitability of the Vuosaari unit, says Janne Lehtimäki, Senior Vice President
at Nurminen Logistics.
