Regarding gas pipeline accident in the district of Širvintai

On October 24, 2009, an explosion took place in the gas main pipeline in the
district of Širvintai. The place of the accident has been promptly localized.
Restoration works are under way. The natural gas consumers have not been
subjected to any gas supply restrictions because of the accident, all consumers
have received the amounts of gas needed. For the being time, some gas amounts
are received through Latvia, the Kiemenai border gas metering station is used
for the accountancy of gas. The causes of the accident are under investigation.
According to preliminary estimations, AB Lietuvos dujos has borne LTL 100
thousand direct losses.
