CANCELLATION OF GEOSENTRIC OYJ EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING



The Board of Directors of GeoSentric Oyj has decided to cancel the
Extraordinary General Meeting of the Company invited to be held at 10:00am on
May 12, 2011. The reason for cancellation were last minute requests received
from some of the largest shareholders to provide more information for making an
informed decision with regards to the financing proposal but also being
informed of the possible another financing proposal being prepared by some of
the largest shareholders. Based on this information, the Board concluded that
it has no other option but to cancel the meeting to preserve the required
additional time to adequately address these matters. 



The Board will explore together with its lead investor and largest shareholder,
the possibility to combine handling of the financing proposal in the agenda of
its coming Annual General Meeting to be held by end of June 2011. The Company
will also release a separate financing status update soonest. 



The Company had prepared certain presentation material for the Extraordinary
General Meeting. To keep all market participants equally informed the Board has
decided to release this presentation material on Company's web site today, on
May 12, 2011 at 12:00, and it can be found under the Extraordinary General
Meeting's materials section. This information will be available only in English
language. The Company will prepare also Finnish language version soonest to be
published on Company's web site as well. 



The Board deeply apologizes for the decision to cancel the meeting in such a
short notice due to extraordinary circumstances.
