Kesko's food and building and home improvement sales continue good
growth

The Kesko Group's sales, excluding VAT, in April 2007 totalled
€795.9 million, an increase of 11.4% over the corresponding period
last year. In January-April, the sales, excluding VAT, were
€3,019.5 million, up 11.3% on the previous year. In January-April,
the sales of foreign operations were €607.5 million, accounting
for 20.1% of the Group's sales.

Kesko Food's sales continued to progress well and increased by
8.3% in April.

Rautakesko's sales in April grew by 28.3% and were €214.1 million.
Sales in Finland were up by 22.7%. Abroad, sales increased by
32.6%. Sales growth in the Baltic countries was 35.4% and in
Russia 55.5%.

VV-Auto's sales in April were €71.7 million, which is up by 6.6%
on last year. In Finland, the number of first registrations of
passenger cars increased by 0.4% in April. The market share of
passenger cars represented by VV-Auto was 15.0% (14.4%).

Anttila's sales in April were €32.9 million, a decrease of 7.4%.
The sales trend was affected by the closing down of the City
department store in Helsinki due to the expiry of the lease
agreement, and by the renovation of the Kodin Ykkönen department
store in Varisto, Vantaa.

Kesko Agro's sales in April were €75.2 million, up 5.2%. Sales in
Finland grew by 5.8% thanks to the sales of grain and implements.
The sales in the Baltic countries grew by 4.1%.

Other operating activities consist of Konekesko, Intersport
Finland, Indoor Group, Musta Pörssi, WellStep, Tähti Optikko
Group, Kauko-Telko and support functions.

Starting from 1 March 2006, VV-Auto's sales figures include the
sales of the new Volkswagen and Audi retail outlets acquired.

Kesko Food is looking into opportunities to dispose of its HoReCa
wholesaling subsidiary, Kespro Ltd, and its sourcing operations.

Kespro and its sourcing operations will be classified as
discontinuing operations in compliance with the IFRS 5 when they
meet the criteria of the standard.

Change, % indicates the percentage change over the corresponding
period of the previous year.

In April 2007, the number of trading days in Kesko's wholesale was
19, which was one more than in April 2006. The total number of
trading days in January-April was one more than in the previous
year.

Kesko publishes advance information about the K-Group's retail
sales quarterly, in connection with the interim financial reports.
