NOTIFICATION REFERRED TO IN CHAPTER 2, SECTION 9 OF THE SECURITIES MARKET ACT ON
A CHANGE IN HOLDINGS                                                            

Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America Inc. (”MCFA”) and Mitsubishi Caterpillar
Forklift Europe B.V. (”MCFE”), both being subsidiaries of Mitsubishi Heavy      
Industries, Ltd. (“MHI”), have today, on 15 December 2008, entered into an      
agreement pursuant to which MCFA will sell to MCFE all of the shares held by    
MCFA in Rocla Oyj (“Rocla”). The 600,000 shares in Rocla that MCFA will sell to 
MCFE represent approximately 14.07 % of all the shares and voting rights in     
Rocla. The share transfer will be effected on 16 December 2008. The purchase    
price in the transaction was EUR 13.00 per each Rocla share, i.e. the same price
that MCFE has offered to pay for each Rocla share in its tender offer for all   
the shares and option rights in Rocla announced on 23 October 2008.             

In accordance with Chapter 2, Section 9 of the Securities Market Act, we hereby 
notify the Financial Supervision Authority and Rocla that following the above   
share transfer, the holding of MCFA in Rocla will fall below 1/20 of all the    
shares and voting rights in Rocla as follows:
