CHANGE IN SCAN'S MANAGEMENT

A new managing director will step in at Scan AB, the company carrying out
HKScan's Swedish operations. Scan's managing director since March 2009, Olli
Antniemi has submitted his resignation, citing health reasons. Mr Denis
Mattsson (56), EMBA, who most recently served as Mr Antniemi's deputy, has been
appointed managing director of Scan AB and member of the HKScan Management Team
effective 23 June 2009.

Mr Mattsson has long food industry experience in Finland and Sweden. He joined
Scan in autumn 2007 after having served as president of the Food Division at
Raisio Plc. and earlier employment with companies including Atria Lithells and
Nestlé.

HKScan's development focus for the near future is on Sweden. The aim is to
bring Scan's EBIT to 5% in accordance with HKScan's long-term financial
objectives. Means employed to improve Scan's competitiveness include adopting a
leaner cost structure, raising the value-added of products and streamlining
commercial operations. Progress towards these goals is on track.
