SOCIETE GENERALE TO ISSUE EIGHT NEW TURBOS AND FOUR NEW COVERED WARRANTS. THE ISSUE INCLUDES TURBOS AND WARRANTS ON DAX INDEX, NOKIA SHARE, SAMPO SHARE, UPM-KYMMENE SHARE AND GOLD

SOCIETE GENERALE TO ISSUE EIGHT NEW TURBOS AND FOUR NEW COVERED WARRANTS. THE
ISSUE INCLUDES TURBOS AND WARRANTS ON THE DAX INDEX, THE NOKIA PLC SHARE, THE
SAMPO PLC SHARE, THE UPM-KYMMENE SHARE AND GOLD. 

Societe Generale, one of the leading issuers of covered warrants worldwide,
issues a total of eight new European Turbo warrants and four new European
warrants on the Helsinki Stock Exchange (HEX). The Turbos and warrants will be
subject to public trading on the HEX Exchange List as of 6 February 2009. 

The underlying assets of the Turbos will be the DAX index, the Nokia Plc share,
the Sampo Plc share, the UPM-Kymmene Plc share and the underlying asset of the
warrants will be Gold. The issue includes five Long Turbos, three Short Turbos,
two Call warrants and two Put warrants 

The Turbos and warrants will be issued under the Societe Generale warrant
program. The Listing Particulars of the warrant program approved by the Finnish
Financial Supervision Authority on 22 July 2008 and consisting of the Base
Prospectus, the Supplements approved by the Finnish Financial Supervision
Authority on 27 August 2008 and 18 November 2008 and the Final Terms relating
to the Turbos and warrants to be issued are available as of 5 February 2009 at
the Societe Generale website at www.sglistedproducts.fi, at the office of the
HEX at Fabianinkatu 14, Helsinki and at the office of the Paying agent at
Nordea Bank Finland Plc at Aleksis Kiven katu 3-5, Helsinki.
