NOTIFICATION OF CHANGE IN HOLDINGS UNDER CHAPTER 2, SECTION 9 OF THE FINNISH    
SECURITIES MARKET ACT

YIT Corporation has on July 15, 2008 gained knowledge of notification under the 
Finnish Securities Market Act stating that following a share transaction on July
10, 2008 holdings of the entities belonging to Julius Baer Holding Ltd's group  
of companies was decreased to below 5% of YIT Corporation's shares and votes.   
The companies hold total of 6,344,962 YIT shares which equals to 4.987 per cent 
of YIT Corporation's shares.
