SHARE SUBSCRIPTION PRICE WITH KONECRANES STOCK OPTIONS 2009 C AND MARKET VALUE OF THE OPTION SERIE 2009 C

KONECRANES PLC  STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE  May 2, 2011 at 18.00

The share subscription price for Konecranes stock option 2009 C is EUR
31.37/share (the trade volume weighted average quotation of the share on the
NASDAQ OMX Helsinki during 1 April - 30 April 2011). 

A total of 750,000 new shares or existing shares held by the Company can be
subscribed for with stock options 2009 C. The share subscription period for
stock options 2009 C will be 1 April 2014 - 30 April 2016. 

The theoretical market value of stock options in Stock Option Plan 2009 C is
EUR 8,17/stock option. The theoretical market value of the entire stock option
series 2009 C is thus EUR 6,129,206. The theoretical market value of one stock
option has been calculated through the use of Black & Scholes stock option
pricing model with the following input factors: share price EUR 32.30, share
subscription price EUR 31.37, risk free interest rate 2.82 %, validity of stock
options 5 years and volatility 20 %.
