NOTIFICATION OF CHANGE IN HOLDINGS UNDER CHAPTER 2, SECTION 9 OF THE FINNISH

YIT Corporation has received a notification regarding a change in holdings, as  
set forth in the Finnish Securities Market Act, sent by Schroder Investment     
Management Compliance Limited. Schroder Investment Management Compliance Limited
announced that its holding has fallen to 4.93 per cent of YIT's shares on       
October 26, 2007.                                                               

YIT's share capital - registered on August 20, 2007 - is EUR 147,069,883.32 and 
the number of shares outstanding is 126,906,258. YIT Corporation has one series 
of shares. Each share carries one vote and confers an equal right to a dividend.
