AB ,,Utenos trikotažas” activity results of II quarter and of half year of 2009

AB "Utenos trikotažas" company sales of the second quarter of 2009 reached LTL
16.7 million (EUR 4.82 million), the total sales of the first half of 2009
reached LTL 33.8 million (EUR 9.8 million), and accordingly was by 26% and 36%
less than of the same period in 2008. Consolidated Group sales of the second
quarter of 2009 reached LTL 19.1 million (EUR 5.5 million), the total sales
reached LTL 39.4 million (EUR 11.4 million) and accordingly was by 23%  and 34%
less than of the same period in 2008. 
According to the General director of Utenos trikotažas AB, Mr. Nerijus Vilūnas,
the sales of the second quarter of 2009 remained the similar amount how in the
first quarter. „The Company exported 91.6% of production. The reduced sales of
the Comapny represent the reduced sales of the clothes retails in the Europe
markets because of the economic crisis conditions. We don't see the main
consumption changes at this moment, but we are waiting the major activity
before the season of Christmassy trade.” 
By preliminary calculations, the Company worked profitably both second quarter
and first quarter, through active purchases, expenditure management and more
profitable orders structure. The consolidated Group activity results will be
published till 31 of August.
