The announcement of YIT Corporation's Interim Report 1-9/2008 on October 29,    
2008                                                                            

YIT Corporation's Interim Report for January-September 2008 will be published on
Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at 8:00 a.m. Finnish time. The stock exchange       
release, interim report and presentation materials will be published at that    
time on the company's website at www.yitgroup.com/investors.                    

Information event                                                               

An event for investment analysts and portfolio managers will be held in English 
on Wednesday, October 29, at Hotel Seurahuone, Kaivokatu 12, 00100 Helsinki,    
Finland. The event starts at 10:00 a.m. Finnish time.                           

Media representatives have a possibility to arrange an interview with the       
company management at a separately agreed time.                                 

Conference call                                                                 

Analysts and portfolio managers can participate in the event through a          
conference call. Conference call participants are requested to call a minimum of

CEO Hannu Leinonen's presentation at the event can be viewed as a real-time
