Marimekko - Changes board/management/auditors

MARIMEKKO’S PRESIDENT AND CEO MIKA IHAMUOTILA TAKES SICK LEAVE

Marimekko Corporation's President and CEO Mika Ihamuotila underwent a minor
repeat neurosurgical procedure in 2011. The post-operative symptoms associated
with such procedures sometimes include epileptic symptoms which are treated
with regular preventive medication. As of today, Ihamuotila will be on sick
leave for the period of adjustment to his anti-epileptic medication. The leave
is estimated to last for approximately 4 to 6 weeks. During this time, the
duties of president will be taken over by the company's CFO Thomas Ekström,
while Ihamuotila will participate in the company's decision-making part-time.
